It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I announce beloved MCC NoVA church member, Jaime Fernandez, died peacefully this morning at home surrounded by friends and family.

Jaime was born on November 13, 1956, in Mexico City. He met Lolita, the woman who would become his wife, best friend, and lifelong companion, and they were married in 1982. Over 44 years of marriage, they built a life together and raised their two sons, Fabricio and Marcelo.

Above all, Jaime was devoted to his family and had a profound impact on the lives of those around him. He led by example and with love, showing through his actions the importance of kindness, generosity, and caring for others. He found particular meaning in volunteering with the homeless ministry and in helping those in need, giving freely of his time and compassion. He took great pride in his sons and found tremendous joy in being a grandfather to Levi and Theo.

Jaime is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Lolita; his sons, Fabricio and Marcelo; Marcelo’s wife, Kelsey; and his grandsons, Levi and Theo.

In honor of Jaime’s dedication to helping those in need through his work in the homeless community, the family requests donations be made to the Homeless Ministry of MCC NoVA.
