As more people are vaccinated and COVID positivity rates continue to drop in our area, CDC and State restrictions have eased, and MCC of Northern Virginia has been planning our next steps forward as a community.
There is no specific date set yet since that determination will be made based on the best data available at the time and could be subject to change.
However, if things continue on the track they’re on, it could be sometime during the first weeks in July.
Attendance in the facility during worship will require an advance “check in” to let us know you are coming so that we may be prepared for you. Seating is limited. There will be physical distancing. Masks will be required, and we are also requesting folks be fully vaccinated (if that is an issue, please let me know). Until we have some better data, there will be no congregational singing. We are currently working to provide some enhanced airflow (the motion of fresh air reduces the risk of COVID-19 transmission). While all reasonable safeguards will be taken, there will always be some measure of risk, and each person will need to make their own determination as to what is best for them.
