Our worship is grounded in a progressive theology and spirituality. Because we believe that God is still speaking, we intentionally complement our study of scripture with contemporary wisdom from a variety of sources. Like all MCC Churches, we believe that we are called to wholeness – which includes a commitment to strive for the healthy integration of sexuality and spirituality. We believe in bringing the fullness of who we are – our questions and doubts as well as our convictions – to God and one another.

Music is an important part of our worship, and is integrated throughout the service. We include music from a variety of traditions, from “traditional” hymns, to praise choruses, to special music from the choir, the band (InCluesion), or individuals/ensembles. Our sacraments seek to embody the radically inclusive love of God. We celebrate the sacrament of communion each Sunday. The invitation to the table generally includes the words: “Whoever you are, wherever you’ve been, wherever you are at this moment on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at God’s table.” And we really mean that! Because we come from many traditions with many different experiences of exactly how communion is sacramental, we do not require any “doctrinal” or “creedal” agreement. Every person who wishes to receive the gifts of bread and juice is welcome. We do offer a personal prayer of blessing during communion, for all who are interested.
