In effect, this prevents them from leaving the country and traveling Internationally.\n<strong>Please tell the U.S. Department of State that the current passport regulations are unlawful and harmful!<\/strong>\nThe U.S. Department of State is threatening trans people\u2019s ability to obtain accurate passports\u2014creating dangerous barriers for travel, identification, and basic rights. A presidential executive order has caused the State Department to suspend its policy allowing transgender, intersex, and nonbinary people to update the sex designations on their passports, leading some with pending applications to have their passports withheld from them and others to receive a new passport with the wrong sex designation listed. \n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/cases\/orr-v-trump\"><\/strong>The ACLU has filed a lawsuit<\/a> and now the <strong>U.S. Department of State has opened public comment periods on three crucial passport applications, and we must flood all three with our opposition to these harmful changes by March 17 and March 20! FCPS Pride held a rally beforehand in the front courtyard, and asked folks to join them afterwards in the auditorium for the proclamation! They said the rally will be fun, but the school board will only see the attendees and speakers during the meeting at 7 pm.
