In addition, meetings include a closed support group for the parents and guardians of Transgender and gender expansive children, tweens, teens, and young adults. These meetings also provide space for a concurrent closed group gathering for Transgender and gender expansive tweens and teens.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> For further information and locations of the meetings,<br \/>\n please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/TGEA.org\"> TGEA.org the Transgender Education Association of Greater Washington <\/a><br \/>\n<!-- contact us at <a href=\"mailto:info@mccnova.com\"> info@mccnova.com<\/a> -->\n<\/p>\n<p><b> The TransFormation Ministry of MCC NoVA also organizes the Northern Virginia Interfaith Trans* Day of Remembrance Service, and sponsors the event along with several co-sponsors and supporters.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Transgender Day of Remembrance occurs annually on November 20, and is a day to memorialize those who have been killed over the previous year as a result of transphobia, or the hatred or fear of transgender and gender non-conforming people.  This event also serves to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the trans* communities, especially those who exist on the margins.  On average, there is one such murder in this country every month.
