Seeking an Associate Pastor (half time)

* General Duties & Responsibilities:
Community Outreach & Service
- Coordinate social justice and outreach projects and work with Micah (Social Justice) Ministry
- Assist with equipping our members for outreach ministries
- Establish collaborative partnerships with other organizations and communities
- Plan and organize larger scale social service projects
- Enhance our visibility and accountability within our geographic community
Congregational Care & Nurture
- Oversee congregational care activities and work with Congregational Care Ministry
- Train new Congregational Care ministers and volunteers
- Act as the initial point of contact for pastoral care needs and plan appropriate response
General Participation on Pastoral Staff Team
- Assist with future visioning and strategic planning
- Assist with the administering of sacramental care, such as holy unions and rites of blessing
- Participation in ongoing worship and congregational life
* This is a new position. Job responsibilities and duties may change as needed and as the position evolves.
Education and Experience
Position requires a degree in theology, preferably at the Masters level (M.Div. or equivalent). Must be a licensed ordained minister or eligible candidate for ordination and licensing. Must have experience working in a pastoral and/or ministry role. Experience in social justice community outreach programs, working with diverse groups, and coordinating congregational care programs is a real plus.
